I have trained over 1,000 military and civilian trainees in fitness, First Aid, martial arts, self-defense, military skills and outdoor and winter survival. But, the years of physical and mental stress were taking their toll. While training military courses, I sometimes felt re-occurring pain in my knees, back, neck, hips and shoulders. Sometimes I would tape up my knees before morning runs with the trainees. My recovery was slower and health began to suffer.  

This convinced me to change my training and mindset for over 40 year old adults. This enabled me to: run half and full marathons (40’s and 50’s), win a kick-boxing championship (age 40), climb Mt. Rainier (age 47), instruct infantry courses (age 55), and continue to instruct fitness (age 68).

I am not a world class athlete or fitness celebrity. But, I can show you the simple methods, nutrition and mind tricks that helped transform me from an underweight, 115 pound, C-average, high school teenager to a 155 pound infantry sergeant, paratrooper, United Nations peacekeeper, marathon runner, champion kick-boxer and Bachelor of Science university graduate. 

You too, can reprogram yourself into greater strength, health and achievement by adopting some or all of these methods.
